The Maryon women's leather gloves finish in a thick shearling cuff in a bitume shade, dense and silky, that frames the wrist with generous softness. Along the side, a row of metal buttons engraved with the Agnelle name runs up the wrist like the buttoning of a tailored sleeve. Crafted from supple midnight blue lambskin, they are lined with alpaca for warmth that is both rich and light, ideal in the depths of winter. Elasticated gathers on the palm side fit the glove closely to the hand. Designed by Maison Agnelle, French glovemaker since 1937.
With Maryon, I was thinking of those mornings when you step out into the sharp cold and simply want to feel wrapped up. The shearling rests against the wrist like a turned-up coat collar, and that sensation alone changes the day. I love the dialogue between this soft, almost instinctive material and the precision of the small metal buttons, lined up like those on an officer's jacket. I wear it with a long wool coat and a thick scarf, for a silhouette that is warm and beautifully structured.

The Agnelle ateliers were founded in 1937 in Saint-Junien, France’s “City of the Leather Glove”. The same craftsmanship continues to this day there, inscribing and galvanizing the Agnelle name in its time. For three generations, three visionary and determined women have transmitted the same savoir-faire for the production of the world’s most beautiful glove collections.
Agnelle remains to this day a discreet partner to the greatest fashion labels. In 2006, Agnelle was recognized as a “Living Heritage Enterprise" and since 2011, Agnelle is registered in UNESCO’s “Métiers d’Arts Rares.”
