An Upcycling collection to discover

Description

The Tonette women's gloves pair lambskin with cashmere in a long cut that reaches mid-forearm. Moka leather covers the back of the hand and the wrist in a single piece, like a smooth, luminous cuff. Midnight blue cashmere wraps the palm, the sides of the fingers and the inner arm, accented with fine strips of leather that trace each finger. Elasticated gathers on the palm side fit the glove closely at the wrist. This interplay of materials combines the structure of leather with the softness of cashmere, for a warm, refined pair that slips under a coat sleeve. Designed by Maison Agnelle, French glovemaker since 1937.

The designer's opinion

I loved the idea of putting two materials in conversation. Lambskin shapes the back of the hand and the fingers with its structure and finesse; cashmere hugs the palm and the spaces between the fingers with its enveloping softness. Tonette looks simple, but it is the touch that makes all the difference. A discreet classic, one you come back to every winter.

Agnelle: A Timeless Savoir-faire

The Agnelle ateliers were founded in 1937 in Saint-Junien, France’s “City of the Leather Glove”. The same craftsmanship continues to this day there, inscribing and galvanizing the Agnelle name in its time. For three generations, three visionary and determined women have transmitted the same savoir-faire for the production of the world’s most beautiful glove collections.

Agnelle remains to this day a discreet partner to the greatest fashion labels. In 2006, Agnelle was recognized as a “Living Heritage Enterprise" and since 2011, Agnelle is registered in UNESCO’s “Métiers d’Arts Rares.”
